The Toddler Classroom (18 months to 3 years)
The Montessori toddler classroom is designed to encourage independence, the child's inner sense of order, socialization and language development.
Independence
Through the practical life area in the classroom, the children are presented materials and activities that will develop skills to enable them to do everyday tasks by themselves.
Sense of Order
Toddlers have a very strong sense of order. Each material has its own place and is always returned there. The class is always run on the same schedule every day.
Socialization
In our classroom we encourage social interaction by giving the children the correct words to communicate their feelings and needs.
Language Development
The toddler is very sensitive to language. At circle time songs are sung and books are read to enrich the child's vocabulary.
