Montessori Home Environment

Home Environment is a Montessori program designed for the three year old in a full day program. Home Environment children will spend the morning of their school day in a traditional Montessori classroom with children three to six years old. The afternoon is spent with their peers in an environment that is structured to help them bridge the gap from being a toddler to being a preschooler.

Home Environment children will spend a portion of the afternoon resting. Once rest time is over, there are a variety of activities that will help to foster independence and self-confidence. Children will learn through a specific selection of work materials that encompass the broad range of Montessori principals. All of the activities help develop the child’s emerging social skills especially when theyplay together and take turns. Independence is encouraged through food preparation activities, set-up and clean of their rest mats and dress up play.

Home Environment is a one year program that is highly specialized and ever changing to meet the needs of the child and maximizing the Montessori experience
